Kuang Si Waterfalls

Falling over a 60 metre high cliff and tumbling gently through a series of brilliantly blue pools formed by mineral deposits in the water, Kuang Si is Laos most famous waterfall. Set amongst picturesque jungle and offering a tranquil break from Luang Prabang sightseeing, you are able to take a refreshing swim in the crystal waters of the lowers pools and climb to the top of the main falls. Spend a little time visiting the Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre, a sanctuary for Asiatic black bears (moon bears) rescued from the illegal wildlife trade.
