Easy online booking with any queries quickly answered. Visa process very efficient and final paperwork and documents arrived in plenty of time.

It was never going to be a relaxing holiday and a few of the day's involving internal travel were pretty full on but China is a big place and it has to be done. The organisation was superb from the time we were met by our national guide Eileen at Shanghai to the time she (tearfully) waved us goodbye at Beijing the tour ran like clockwork. All hotels were good by any standard and any room problems were quickly resolved. Free bottles of water were provided in every hotel. Some locations were better than others with the hotels in Guilin and Yangshuo particularly well placed for an evening stroll and see local life. Our local guides were good although they did tend to give a heavy sell on the "optional" tours on offer. The selling at the factories we visited tended to be a bit full on but then again I did manage to get a bargain at the jade factory. Don't be afraid to haggle hard and maybe you will be offered a "secret" price. We were a group of 25 with 7 different nationalities who bonded well and made the trip enjoyable.

Well done for the sights and sounds but not so for “optional” tours taking place during the days’s group activities, such as in Shanghai gong up to the viewing platform of the skyscraper , or the MagLev train. Those opting out were left to twiddle their thumbs pending the return of those opting in. Other gripes were about theatre shows where a minimum number had to agree to go or none at all.

Fabulous tour albeit very busy,
From collection at the airport to final goodbye everything went smoothly and Wendy Wu staff were exemplary.

Tour itself was great and the places visited were amazing, this was our first tour so was unsure what to expect, but we loved the group check in at airports/hotels etc and the express entrance to the attractions etc. The group we were part of was very good and as they say we quickly became "Sam's family".
All the hotels were very good and you couldn't complain about the standard of them, only gripe would be the hotels in Shanghai and Beijing were a bit out of the city centre. That said they were first class hotels and the metro system was so easy and soooo cheap.
We loved every bit of the trip and still found time for some solo sightseeing. 10/10 in my opinion

The Tour itself was very good in the choice of attractions visited. Our National Guide, Jacky, was excellent. A very pleasant young man who was very attentive to everyone's needs. The choice of hotels was satisfactory. A bit more time in Shanghai would have been good. The only down side was the hours spent on the coach and train when there were no flights available.

My wife and I arranged our recent tour of China through Wendy Wu, booking their Majestic Yangtze Tour which started in Shanghai on 30 October and finished in Beijing on the 11th November 2018. We were met by our National Tour Guide, Lee, and were made to feel a real part of a family from start to finish. Our travelling companions were fabulous and the Wendy Wu team of National and Local Guides and Drivers were absolutely outstanding. Fluent in English and extremely knowledgeable on their beloved country, the trip fulfilled every expectation and more. We were concerned with all the travelling that schedules or arrangements would inevitably go wrong but all of it went like clockwork, seamless and stress less for us! Two internal flights, a five day cruise, a bullet train journey, transfers to and from airports and boat docks, dinner shows...all taken in Lee's stride as she ushered the "Lee Family" effortlessly from one location to the next. We cannot praise Lee enough - she even dealt amazingly with my wife's gluten free requirements ensuring a comfortable and relaxed holiday.

Their China country guide (Chuck) was excellent and did his level best to ensure we had a trouble-free holiday. The only blot for us was that we flew in to Beijing (Air China) and had an approximately 5 hour layover before flying on to Shanghai - there were at least 3 flights leaving to Shanghai before ours, so why such a long wait?

I would actually rate this very good and the tours chosen were just what we wanted. The quality of the meals we had did vary a little, some excellent and some average and towards the end of the holiday they were becoming a little repetitive. The hotels were of good quality, very clean and comfortable. In fact every city we visited was immaculately clean - very impressive for such a large country and population.

Other two hotels in Shanghai and xian were really good.

A very well organised tour with an interesting itinerary. So many amazing things to see and experience. Our national guide Jacky Sun was exceptional. He kept us safe and looked after us like a family. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He has superb people skills and is an asset to your company. Our local guides were also very good.
The meals were an interesting mix of venues and dishes and very enjoyable. One travelling day, from Yichang to Shanghai was too long and tiring but that was our only (small) issue. I travelled with my sister and we both thought that it was a truly inspirational experience. We would certainly recommend Wendy Wu to others

Well organised, everything went to clockwork. Very interesting tour and we saw a lot of amazing things.One mith is that at Shanghai there was 2 optional tours which you paid extra for, if you didn't do the tour we had to hang around for over 2 hours waiting for the ones that went on the tour. Should have included these tours in the tour for everybody!

Some hotels were not in good location and good have been more central. Also some of the hotels used were in need of refurbishment in the bedrooms.

Guides, city tours, shows, coach & food excellent.
They tell you to bring comfortable shoes. Do so, especially for the Great Wall & the fascinating three hour walk in Tiananmen Square & the Forbidden City.
The offices in London & Shanghai very helpful in getting us out of Hong Kong before the typhoon arrived, so that we were able to join the tour on time.

We went on The Times Ultimate Tour of China in conjunction with Wendy Woo.
We visited Tianamman Square and the Forbidden City. We had a rickshaw ride through the hutongs, a tai chi lesson in the park, attended an acrobatic show at the theatre. We took the cable car up the Great Wall and came down on a toboggan run which was great fun. We later went to the Llama Temple.
We flew from Beijing to Xian and went to see the Terracotta Warriors and later did a bike ride along the city walls of Xian and also had a calligraphy lesson.
We travelled to see the pandas in Chengdu and also the Taoist temple at Mt Quingcheng and then on to Chongquing to go on a three night Yangtze River cruise and then on to Shanghai by bus, bullet train and flight.
Our food was fantastic and inexpensive particularly in the small local restaurants.
This was definitely not a restful holiday but a fantastic experience. We had an amazing national ******, Link Lee, who made the trip really special for us and suceeded in creating a cohesive (family) group with our fellow passengers, Link Lee being the undoubted leader. This experience has given us a thirst to discover more about China and continue our travels there. We would go with Wendy Woo again and definitely Link Lee. He is a really outstanding guide who gave tirelessly of his time and energy.

Everything was so well planned. All our guides went to great lengths to ensure that arrangements went smoothly. When severe weather unexpectedly disrupted return flights, our guide ensured that I was able to stay on at the same hotel in Shanghai until homeward travel could be arranged. He also arranged a taxi transfer from the hotel to the airport. It took all the stress out of a worrying situation.

Excellent customer service and a unique insight into such an amazing country. This tour showed the contrasts between modern, progressive, urban China and a more traditional rural lifestyle.

I had great time in China. I would like to particularly mention our National Guide,
Mark has been enormously helpful with attitude of no request is to much trouble.
Change in flight time to Shanghai taken 1/2 day off the stay there and removed Shanghai Museum from the program. Luckily we were able to go there as our flight was living in the evening. Mark was kind enough to write for us all info how to use Metro end we were able to get there on our own. For me Museum is one of the HIGH LIGHTS of Shanghai.
