Insadong Alley

Step back in time to wander Insadong Alley and take in the sights and smells of traditional Korean culture, food and arts. The Alley comes alive with buzz and atmosphere with traditional tea houses and street food.  

Insadong Alley, stretches over 700 meters and is the beating heart of the Insadong neighbourhood. Enjoy the wide variety of specialties along the main alley, including stores that specialise in a wide variety of traditional Korean goods, including hanbok (clothing), hanji (paper), local teas, pottery, and folk crafts. Meander off the main drag and into the smaller alleyways where you will find art galleries to interest all tastes as well as a host of local craft makers. Don’t forget to sample the local specialty ‘kimchi’ to awaken your tastebuds.
